Today is a Good Day — Adobe CS3 Now Shipping
Adobe Creative Suite 3 (CS3) is now shipping, sans Production and Master Collection, which are expected to ship in July 2007. Available products include: InDesign CS3, Photoshop CS3, Illustrator CS3, Flash CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, Contribute CS3 and Acrobat Pro 8.
Left off the shipping list for CS3 at the moment are the Production Studio products which include Premier CS3 (which now includes Encore CS3), AfterEffects CS3, Soundbooth CS3, OnLocation CS3 and Ultra CS3. This also eliminates the availability of the Master Collection. These products are available for Pre-Order and will ship when they become available, which is expected to be in July 2007.
**UPDATE**: Preview versions of Premier CS3, AfterEffects CS3 and SoundBooth CS3 are available in the Adobe Labs.
For those who are looking to purchase the Master Collection but can’t wait to get their greedy little fingers on the rest of the CS3 products, Adobe is offering a Step Up to Master Collection offer wherein you purchase Design Premium and/or Web Premium now and get the Masters Collection for the difference in price once it become available. For example, upgrading to Design Premium costs $599.00 USD, which means you would get the Master Collection for $1400.00 USD rather than the regular upgrade price of $1999.00 USD.
Important to note that if you take advantage of this offer, once you recieve the Master Collection you must surrender your rights to and license for the previously purchase Creative Suite 3 and uninstall it immediately.
Similarly, Adobe has a special offer for Adobe CS3 Production Premium. If you buy the previous version, Adobe Production Studio Premium, you will recieve a free upgrade to CS3 when it becomes available in July 2007.
